It started with a trip that nearly didn't happen. An unpaid hotel deposit sat unresolved for weeks while a group chat went in circles. Then one flight got cancelled, and suddenly six carefully arranged itineraries were out of sync at once - pickups, check-ins and a dinner reservation all quietly broken.
The trip survived, barely. But the lesson was clear: the hard part of a group trip was never planning one itinerary. It was getting many people, preferences and payments to converge - and staying converged when something changed. Every tool we tried was built for a single traveler's schedule, not a group's coordination.
